Children’s Regional Crisis Response (CR2)

CR2 provides a mobile stabilization program (for youth aged 17 and younger), which prevents unnecessary hospitalizations and placements outside of the home. It delivers services in the home environment and offers clinical assessments, including lethality; 48 hour psychiatric assessment; medication prescription; case management; 30-day post discharge support; care coordination with community resources and professionals; and safety planning. CR2 serves Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William Counties and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park. All eligible children (youth at-risk of psychiatric hospitalization) are served regardless of their insurance or legal status.

CR2 has licensed and master’s-level crisis counselors, some of whom also are bilingual. Reasons to seek CR2’s assistance include aggression or self harm, dangerous decision making, extreme social isolation, hallucinations/delusional thinking, loss of coping skills, property destruction, suicidal thoughts and/or threatening behavior. For more information, call (703) 257-5997. 24-Hour Emergency Response 844-N-Crisis [(844) 627-4747], (571) 364-7390 or  TTY 711
